Wine Auction & Pairing Party

Saturday, September 27th | 5:30pm – 7:30pm | Lyndon State College | Burke Mountain Room

Come and bid on exceptional wine from Australia, California, France, and Italy. All proceeds will benefit Lyndon State College, presenting an opportunity to buy great wine while supporting a great college. While considering how much to bid, enjoy a wine and food pairing party against the backdrop of one of the Northeast Kingdom’s most breathtaking views. $20 per person; call 802 626 6458 or email Jenny Harris at Jennifer.harris@lyndonstate.edu to RSVP.

The 12 California wines at this offering represent some of the finest wines produced during the excellent growing season of the 1990’s. All wines are ready to drink and were purchased upon release. The 12 Australian wines represent some of the best wines from producers with a reputation of extraordinary excellence from year to year. Some of these wines are only released in small allocations due to their desirability from collectors around the world. The five French wines from the 1975 Bordeaux Vintage represent wines that are still drinking well after 30+ years in the bottle. This was a tannic vintage requiring years of patience. The wines have been drinking well for the past 15 years. The four Italian wines come from extraordinary vintages and are presently drinking with a refined openness. They can be enjoyed now or cellared for 10 to 15 years

Note: All wines were purchased upon release and stored in a humidity and temperature controlled cellar. All the wines have been sold in small lots at Zacky’s auction in New York City over the past few years. The wines represent examples from a cellar with a 40-year history.
