Transfer Students

Each year, over 100 students transfer to Lyndon State College and find that our community offers the kind of atmosphere they’ve been seeking. If you’re currently enrolled at an institution that isn’t meeting your needs, we encourage you to consider transferring to Lyndon State.

The goal of our admissions team is to make your transition into LSC a seamless one. Our hometown campus and supportive learning environment will help you further fulfill your potential. As one of only fifteen to twenty students in a class, you will receive the attention you deserve. Our faculty will help you select coursework and prepare you for the future. We'll make sure you fit right in. At Lyndon State, you do more than complete your education: you belong.

If you require financial assistance, please note that the Financial Aid Office encourages students to have their academic transcripts submitted to Lyndon State College as soon as possible to ensure that their student loans are awarded to them for the correct amount based on their appropriate grade level.

Admission Requirements
-Completed application (please print or submit on-line)
-$36 application fee* made payable to Lyndon State College
-Official transcript(s) from ALL colleges previously attended
-An official high school transcript and SAT or ACT scores, if you have not received at an associate’s or bachelor’s degree
-One letter of recommendation (required only if you are transferring less than 15 credits)

* Students transferring from other Vermont State Colleges (Castleton State College, Community College of Vermont, Johnson State College, Vermont Technical College) are exempt from the application fee.
