Students with Disabilities

Students with disabilities work with Mary Etter, Lyndon’s learning specialist. Mary coordinates a broad spectrum of reasonable accommodations for students with documented disabilities. Students are encouraged to contact the learning specialist as early as possible in order to receive accommodations that are appropriate for the nature of the student’s disability and course of study. Appropriate accommodations will be determined on an individual basis, based on current documentation.

Lyndon does not have separate programs for students with disabilities, and all students must meet requirements for individual courses, general education requirements, and degree programs. It is important to know, however, that support services are available to students with disabilities, and we have found that students who utilize recommended resources experience greater academic success.

The College observes provisions of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the appropriate sections of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA). To find more information about the services for students with disabilities, please contact Mary Etter, Learning Specialist, at 802 626-6210.
