Lyndon is excited about our latest building project, which was completed in August, 2009.
On August 12, 2008, Lyndon State College broke ground for the new academic and student activity building that now houses our meteorology, business, and exercise science academic programs, as well as a multi-purpose student activities center. The building’s approximately $10M design and construction cost was funded by Lyndon through a bond authorized by the Vermont State Colleges’ Board of Trustees.
The Business and Exercise Science programs benefit from expanded space that is designed specifically to support the needs of those curriculums.
Meteorology students have access to:
- A 360-degree observation deck to view the current weather in the Northeast Kingdom
- Two computerized classrooms
- A high tech work room complete with a digital map wall
- A research lab facility
- A communications room
- State of the art software that will display a large number of meteorological data sets
